A Joyful Celebration: Patricia Chairs Preschool Graduation 2025

June 26, 2025, marked a heartfelt milestone at Patricia Chairs School as we celebrated the preschool graduation of our beloved Buttercup Class. This unforgettable event honored the growth, joy, and learning journeys of our youngest students as they took their first proud steps toward the next chapter of their education.

The Buttercup Class Blooms

Dressed in bright yellow and white—colors symbolic of sunshine, hope, and new beginnings—the Buttercup Class embodied everything that makes early childhood education so special. These children have spent the year building the foundations of learning: exploring, imagining, creating friendships, and developing the skills they’ll carry into primary school and beyond.

Yellow, the class color, was everywhere—from students’ accessories to staff attire and event decorations. The vibrant palette reflected the joyful energy of the day and reinforced the identity of the graduating class.

A Program Full of Pride and Performance

Held beside the Hibiscus Classroom, the preschool graduation ceremony featured a rich and carefully planned program that included:

  1. Opening prayers led by students Gabriella, Jeems Lens, and Malia
  2. A powerful welcome message and poem “Le Chat et le Soleil” by Destina Ednayson
  3. Musical and poetic performances by the 2nd and 3rd-year classes
  4. A special class song by the Buttercup Class
  5. The Parade of Nations, showcasing Haiti’s rich cultural heritage alongside French, American, Canadian, and African pride
  6. Skits, solo songs, and special presentations honoring the school’s faculty and staff

Every part of the program highlighted the value of early childhood education in nurturing confident, expressive, and engaged learners.

Honoring Teachers and School Staff

The celebration also took time to recognize the incredible dedication of the Patricia Chairs teaching team. Special honors were given to:

  1. Mme Ritha C. Charles, named Gardener of the Year
  2. Mme Kevley Jacques, honored as Assistant Gardener of the Year
  3. Mme De La Fayette, Assistant Director
  4. Mme Edna M.P.L., whose leadership made the event possible

Educators and staff are the heart of Patricia Chairs School, and their guidance continues to shape a generation of leaders, thinkers, and dreamers.
