COVID-19 in Haiti
We are living in unprecedented times that are changing daily, if not hourly.
As of yesterday, Thursday March 19, there were 2 confirmed cases of the coronavirus discovered in Haiti which resulted in actions taken by the Haitian government to help prevent the spread. Among other restrictions, Haiti has closed its borders (airports, ports, over-land), and has closed all schools and universities until further notice.
This includes our schools in Saint Marc. Though we taught the students precautions to take, the country has moved forward with nationwide restrictions in hopes of containing and limiting the spread of this largely unknown virus.
We ask for you to continue to pray for the world, and especially for Haiti as they face this new challenge with fewer resources than we are blessed with in the United States.
Thank you for your support and for believing in our mission. We hope to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
