Hands-On, Interactive Lessons at Les Bons Samaritains
Students at Les Bons Samaritains enjoyed an in-depth animal lesson (and visit)!
The kids had an exciting day meeting and learning about mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and crustaceans! From scaly snakes to furry friends, they got up close and personal with nature while discovering fun facts about each species.
For some students, it was their first time seeing certain animals that aren’t native to Haiti, making the experience even more special.
Students also explored the world of nutrition, learning how food fuels their bodies and shapes how they feel each day.
Through a hands-on, interactive lesson with fresh ingredients, they discovered these three essential food groups:
🥦 Aliments Protecteur → Protective Foods
🥜 Aliment Constructeur → Body-Building Foods
🍠Aliments Énergétique → Energy-Giving Foods
For many of our students, food choices can be limited, making this lesson even more valuable. Understanding nutrition empowers them to make the best choices possible with what’s available.
