Meanwhile in Haiti, Schools Opened Today!

The students are excited to get back and begin the 2020-2021 school year, and you’ll notice… they aren’t social distancing or wearing masks like we do.

Why not?

Surprisingly, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Haiti is extremely low. There is no real good explanation, but Dr. Mortel just returned from a visit and confirmed that there are no cases of COVID-19 in the Saint Marc area.

We’re happy to report that, but we remain as puzzled as you are!

We look forward to what we hope will be a more typical school year as the students return this week and we can’t wait to share the journey with you!
