From Farm to Table: New Agriculture Program in Haiti!
Worldwide, the statistics of child malnutrition and food scarcity grow more and more bleak.
Thanks to the new agriculture program on the land behind James Stine College, we’re investing in more sustainable food production for the schools and the community.
Nancy (pictured below), the feeding program manager at LBS, explained that this year, the cost of food was so much higher than in past years , but the farm really helped to balance the expenses and allow us to continue to feed the students 2 substantial meals each day. Osnel, the HHH agronomist, raises chickens, tilapia, and produce that partially support Nancy’s team in the kitchen at LBS, a new direct example of farm to table, thanks to your support!
