SOME GREAT NEWS!: Here’s the Latest Update from Haiti

When we provided our last update, there was much uncertainty in regards to what the school year would look like in Haiti.  Since then, the schools in St. Marc have actually opened (August 10)!  The Haitian Ministry of Education announced that the 2019-2020 academic year will be completed during the months of August-October this fall.  Then the new 2020-2021 school year will begin in November. 

We’re excited to have the students back in school—with temperature checks, masks, social distancing, and frequent hand-washing—but they’re back!  As the school year will hopefully be more “typical” then we anticipated, we need your support now more than ever to provide students with much needed daily meals; medical care; dental and vision care; free tuition and school supplies.  All of these life-changing items are provided through your sponsorship of only $350 a year.  We have students who are hoping for the opportunity to attend our schools.  By sponsoring a child or renewing an existing sponsorship, you will change the future of a student in Haiti.
