The 7th annual Crab Feast for Haiti, held on September 27th in Baltimore, was another incredible afternoon of fun, fellowship, and generosity — all in support of the children at Mortel High Hopes for Haiti’s schools.

Friends, families, and longtime supporters came together to crack open Maryland’s favorite crustaceans while opening their hearts to a meaningful cause. Guests enjoyed all-you-can-eat steamed crabs, pit meats, sides, desserts, and drinks, plus plenty of chances to win big on the raffle, prize wheel, and money wheel.

But the most rewarding part of the day wasn’t the food or the prizes — it was the impact. Together, our 78 attendees raised an astounding $23,000, enough to feed every unsponsored student at our schools this year.

As our team shared updates from Haiti, guests were reminded that daily meals are so much more than nourishment — they’re a lifeline. Amid continued instability and food shortages, the Mortel HHH schools remain safe havens where children can learn, laugh, and dream with full bellies and hopeful hearts.

We are so grateful to everyone who made this day possible — from our dedicated event committee and volunteers to Superior Catering and our generous event sponsors. Your time, talent, and support make all the difference.

Thank you for helping us keep Dr. Mortel’s vision alive — one crab, one meal, and one child’s future at a time.
