The 2024 Crab Feast for Haiti, held October 5th in Baltimore, was a huge help for the kids in Haiti and a great time for all who attended! Friends of Mortel HHH came together to enjoy delicious crabs and freshly cooked pit meats, raffles and a chance to win on either the cash or prize wheel.

Throughout the afternoon together, the Mortel HHH team shared how the school students and their families continue to struggle with food and water scarcity alongside continued gang violence that have become part of daily life in Haiti. But despite the struggles, the schools opened on time and are able to serve as a safe haven where the children can learn and play and receive daily meals.

We set the goal to provide clean water and daily meals to the 200 unsponsored students this year and this generous crowd surpassed the goal! By the end of the day, the attendees were able to provide meals, clean water, and a sense of hope for over 300 students this year!

Thank you to the Maryland Event Committee members, Superior Catering, and all of the volunteers who made the afternoon so enjoyable. A special thank you to our Event sponsors, especially our Gold Level sponsors—the Archdiocese of Baltimore and Bryn Mawr Trust.

We are truly grateful to all who joined us this year and to all of you who continue to make Dr. Mortel’s vision a reality for the children in Haiti!
