We were hopeful for an October 3rd start date for our schools in Haiti, but the country remains essentially paralyzed due to the continued protests in almost every major city, which unfortunately means that our schools remain closed.  The community of St. Marc has thankfully been calm, but demonstrations continue throughout the country, especially in Port au Prince, Cap Haitien, and Gonaives.  There has been no official update from the Ministry of Education on when schools will open, so our students remain at home.

Despite these trying times, the teachers and administration have shown their commitment and dedication by reporting to work at both the preschool and primary school.  They continue to engage in professional learning, strengthening the curriculum, and are exploring ways to provide instructional materials for parents to work with the kids at home should the schools remain closed for much longer.

Please continue to pray for the country of Haiti, our teachers, staff, and students. We remain hopeful and continue to be grateful for your care and support!
